Banbury Litter Pickers has decided to join Banbury Community Action Group (CAG). CAG has several similar community groups under its umbrella, such as Banbury Active Travel and Banbury Trees.
In joining CAG, there will be absolutely no difference to how Banbury Litter Pickers operates: this BLP facebook page will continue as normal, group litter picks will continue to be arranged and advertised, and individual litter pickers will continue to be welcomed and supported.
As part of CAG, we will benefit from their administrative support and possibly other funding opportunities. CAG has a large membership of people who are keen to improve the environment in Banbury; it is very likely that several of their members will want to join in with litter picking.
To repeat: just because we are now under the CAG umbrella doesn’t mean that BLP is going to change. It is still the place for people who care about their town and how it looks, and for those who cannot stand the sight of litter! I think we are all proud of what we achieve week in week out. 500 bags have already been collected in 2026.
