Banbury Community Action Group

Banbury Community Action Group was set up in 2013 to run free local community projects on food, waste, transport and energy.

We usually meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month at The Old Auctioneer Pub (44 Parsons Street, Banbury OX16 5NA), however, given the COVID-19 pandemic, you will not be surprised to learn that, we’ve had to cancel all public events and face to face meetings, including the ‘Give & Take’ event, which was scheduled to take place on the 28th March. Our priority is, of course, the health and well-being of the many generous volunteers and vulnerable members of the public. Face-to-face contact obviously needs to be restricted as the best means of reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus: ultimately, slowing its spread is likely to give our NHS the best chance of saving lives.

In the mean time if you wish to kept up to date about the group’s activities, please join our mailing list or read our meeting notes to find out where we’ll be this month.

Come and get involved! You could help plant a new orchard, join the Bridge Street Edible Community Garden or take part in the “Give & Take”. We are always looking for new ideas and new volunteers.

There’s always lots of projects on the go – you can find out more about a few of them above, or if you’ve got an idea of something you’d like to get off the ground we’d love to hear from you.
