Join us in the new community hub in Castle Quay (Unit 56, Castle St, Banbury OX16 5UN). You can build your own miniature windmills and learn about energy saving methods listed on the Climate Action Oxfordshire website (https://www.climateactionoxfordshire.org.uk/), and have a chance to see the “Oxfordshire Energy and Climate Exhibition” designed by Oxfordshire Friends of the Earth. The exhibition will cover the topic of how local action can help tackle the cost of living crisis and the climate crisis with a focus on energy saving.
You will also be able to get energy saving advice to help save money and the environment, and find out if you qualify for free home energy efficiency upgrades.
You can find the new community hub at the Debenhams end of the shopping centre, next to the kids ZONE.

Great Big Green Apple Day

Jubilee Orchard, Browning Road Park (158 Bloxham Rd, Banbury OX16 9LE)
Make your own apple juice in our community orchard using a traditional apple press! Bring your own apples, and some containers for the juice. And while you are sampling the juice, you can get some composting advice and seeds to plant next year, and exchange recipe ideas for apples and pumpkins. We will also have some fun eco games for children, such as “Splat the carbon” and a giant floor game “Eco-action snakes and ladders.” The event will take place in the Jubilee Orchard in Browning Road Park (158 Bloxham Rd, Banbury OX16 9LE).

Come and join us watching this brilliant new documentary about Greenham Common by Sonia Gonzalez (AndanaFilms, 2021; 58 minutes).
